About Us

The Rockfish Enrichment Center (REC) is Respite Care center for people with mild to moderate Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and/or Alzheimer’s disease in Nelson County. REC will provide respite care from 10AM to 2PM on Mondays and Wednesdays. It will be located at Rockfish Presbyterian Church in Nellysford, VA. REC is offered in partnership with Here to Stay in Wintergreen, the Blue Ridge Medical Center, and the Rockfish Presbyterian Church. We are planning to begin offering respite care in September of 2024.

Our mission is to foster an enriching and caring place for people with Parkinson’s disease, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease and provide their caregivers with some time to care for other things.
