A Social Model of Respite & Enrichment
Introducing the Blue Ridge Respite:
A Social Model of Respite & Enrichment
Our mission at Blue Ridge Respite, formerly known as Nelson Enrichment Club, is to provide a caring and safe environment for individuals experiencing memory loss. Through engaging and enriching activities, we empower members to achieve their fullest potential, while providing a restorative break for their dedicated caregivers.
Get To Know BRR
The Blue Ridge Respite (BRR) is a program of Here to Stay in Wintergreen, in partnership with Blue Ridge Medical Center, Rockfish Presbyterian Church, and Nelson Heritage Center. BRR provides social and self-enrichment activities for individuals with memory loss and Parkinson’s, while offering caregivers a much-needed restorative break. Activities include music and the arts, brain games, physical fitness, pet therapy, and meaningful socialization.
BRR is expanding to better serve more families and caregivers in our community. In addition to our original program in Nellysford, we are now offering a second weekly program at the Nelson Heritage Center.
